National Geographic Traveller (UK) have released a brand new Photography Magazine app and we’re eager to announce its launch using Pugpig.

The digital magazine offers a behind-the-scenes look at some of the fantastic travel photography from National Geographic Traveller (UK), including previously unpublished images from their photographers around the world. Their fully responsive app is now available across devices on iOS, Android and web and is absolutely free.

The app has an abundance of exclusive, digital-only content such as features, tutorials, and kit guides. Their photographers explain how they captured their winning images and provide tips for shooting in similar conditions. And using Pugpig’s shopping module, users can browse Photography Magazine’s kit guides and purchase any of the recommended camera gear from their editions. On top of this, the app also gives users access to exclusive competitions and giveaways.

Metro launches new app using Pugpig

We’ve got some exciting news…Metro, the UK’s leading urban media brand, has just launched their new digital edition app using Pugpig, available on available on iOS, Android and web.

We worked with Metro to replace an already existing app, enabling them to plug straight into their existing editorial systems and create beautifully designed mobile editions with almost no extra editorial effort.

Metro has done some great things with the Pugpig App Container through bespoke templating, creating sleek and effective edition covers that lead straight into the day’s biggest stories. With easy navigation for their users, they have also enabled the use of cross-edition search and deep-linking, plus readers can share articles directly from the app.

On top of this, the new app is packed with interactive features and working with companies such as Puzzler and Specle, Metro has integrated responsive jigsaws, crosswords and advertisements into their editions so that their readers don’t miss out on the deals and competitions they know and love from their print issues.

Families First launches using Pugpig

Available now on iOS and Android tablets and phones, the new Families First magazine app is filled with digital only content that renders beautifully across all screen sizes and is delivered straight into the hands of readers wherever they may be.

Families First is a faith-based magazine created by Mothers’ Union, an outreach charity led by four million members dedicated to supporting families worldwide and this marks an exciting time in their history as they launch their first ever app.
